Bullhead City Arrest and Bail Procedure
Anyone arrested on a criminal offense will be seen by a judge, or magistrate within 24-hrs. A bail amount will be set at that time and a arraignment/preliminary hearing date will be scheduled. Inmates not released on their own recognizance will be transported to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
Mohave County Bail Bonds can post Bullhead City bail bonds at the city jail, or if the inmate is transported to Kingman, bail can be posted at the Mohave County Jail. If a Bullhead court has set bail as “cash only”, then we would need to post bail at either the Bullhead City Municipal Court, or at the Bullhead City Justice Court. These courts are only open Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm. The Mohave County Jail in Kingman does not accept cash at the window.
Bullhead City Jail
The Bullhead City Jail is operated by the Bullhead City police department; it is a temporary holding facility. Inmates are scheduled to be transported from the Bullhead City Jail to the the Kingman facility after the inmate’s initial appearance. Bullhead City bail bonds may be posted at the City Jail as long as the inmate has not been transported to Kingman; this is a narrow timeframe.

How it Works

- We email you a 2-page Bail Bond Agreement, that you sign and email, or fax back to us.

Mohave County Jail Kiosk
There is a kiosk at the Mohave County Jail that can take small amounts of cash. If you are local, and the bail is small, this may be your best alternative. If you plan on using the kiosk, you should call the jail for clarification on its limitations. Any funds deposited to the kiosk are placed on the inmate’s books. The inmate would be self-bonding, so any fines, sanctions, or restitutions would be taken out of the bond, upon sentencing, and the remainder would be returned to the inmate.
If we at Mohave County Bail Bonds™ posts your funds, the court would not be permitted to use the bond for fines, sanctions or restitution. Once the Bullhead City bail bond has been exonerated, the court would refund the bond back to us and we would return your cash to you. Refunds may be mailed to you, or deposited directly into your bank account, if your bank branch is available to us.
